This book had me completely hooked from the beginning. Emily and Thayer faking an engagement and pregnancy to take down his father is quite a story but then you add in Ryder, Anders, and Oliver and you get the cake. The icing on the cake is that they are all in love with Emily. And she with them. And this is just book one!!! I cannot wait for more!!!!

Ellie Pond takes us on another fun trip aboard the Dark Wing full of witty banter, true mates, and some deep pretty real feelings. Like, does love heal all wounds? Can the past be forgiven? Is it possible to hear someone out?
The story and characters pulled me in. Was there more to Mackenzie’s childhood bullying? Has Xavier changed his ways? And what about his mating to another wolf coming up???
Expect a few twists here and there, because love doesn’t take a straight line!

The dragon returns...But at what cost? A jealous witch, the desperate Dorian, Nana, a damaged Tyler, and new players on the scene. So much love and so much conniving!
This latest book ends on a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to read the next.

Great addition to the Sci-Fi/Paranormal Romance genre!

The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story, I found myself in love with not only the characters but also the world she created.

The attitudes toward the events that are happening make the story even richer and the characters more relatable.

This series at times is so frustrating and yet so interesting. Ellie Pond does an incredible job bring a whole new world to life.
From everything to the civilization to the communication between the mermen and a kraken.
The characters never stop being interesting either they continue to grow and change, evolving right along with the pages of the book.
It's like learning a new language but way more fun.

Ugh I hate having to wait but I love this story!
The quick pace, all the moving parts, I'm always wanting to know whats going to happen next. The secrets, the curses and even now the history and connections.
But things are far from over and Melody's pod is yet to be complete!
I can't wait to see where this journey is leading them.
This is definitely a series your going to want to dive into.

I'm still getting used to Ellie's writing style, but her mastery in crafting a compelling storyline is clear. It's not common for a RH to have such detailed plot development or well-constructed characters, and it is refreshing. This book was so good I need to know how this saga ends, which is why I typically avoid cliffhangers. Save yourselves! It's too late for me.

This is book two in the Veiled City series. This is the second book in a reverse harem series with hot Mermen. The world building is detailed and imaginative. This book has strong, well-developed characters, an interesting story line full of suspense, danger, action, mystery, unexpected twists, and an ending that left me wanting to read the next book in the series. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I think the series is only getting better.
This book had danger, mystery, secrets, and more. There was also tension and spice.
I really enjoyed seeing the relationship development between Haley and the men. Also, seeing them working together, the discoveries and challenges they face.
I think this was a great continuation! I'm really looking forward to book 3, after this ending!

Love this book and so excited to find a new author the I love. This shifter book had excitement, suspense, sexiness and depth of characters. The plot was great and the perfect length! It wasn’t dark or stressful- just a great read.

Granger and Michele's story is never to assume that fate doesn't have a plan when it comes to mates. Granger and Michele fought against their mate pull but fell in love instead,. Each was determined to sacrifice their bond for the good of others, but their love was strong and prophecy can be misinterpreted. Enjoyed this story with its drama, hot steam and some romance.

I have to admit I was holding my breath for this one. So often it can be hard to end a series. I wanted more time with the characters while also wanting to know how things turned out. I was really happy with how this wrapped up. So much of this I was one the edge of my seat. I couldn’t put the book down. I liked how everything worked out in the end. I felt like it really was a good ending for everyone and true to the characters.

I’m so sad it’s over! This series was amazing! Full of spice, character growth, and drama! It captivated me from the first book and only got better as it progressed! I can’t wait to see where the author takes this world next because that teaser at the end- ugh, I need moreeeeeee

"Ellie Pond did not come here to play, but to slay—and slay she did. This book has very mermaid style Beauty and the Beast mixed with a little bit of the chosen one vibes and a wave of romance washing over the whole thing. I will be awaiting the next book eagerly!"

"This is my first book I’ve read by Ellie Pond, but I guarantee that it will not be my last! I loved Emma and Flint! I loved how reluctant they both were to a relationship, but I also loved how they just couldn’t resist one another, especially when Flint was in his wolf form!"

"The whole series was such an adventure. The story line had so many elements and the characters were fun. I wish there was another book now that the pod is finally together. I enjoyed the love and care they all had for each other despite their differences. Hope you have more like this Ellie!"
